We are thrilled to welcome you to the Mayacamas Volunteer Fire Foundation’s Starlight Dinner and Auction this weekend. We appreciate your support for this fantastic fundraiser. Please find below some important details about the event. If you have purchased a table, kindly share this information with your guests.

Event timeline:

SATURDAY, AUGUST 9TH

~ 5:00 PM: Sparkling Wine Reception and Raffle Ticket Sales Begin
~ 5:30 PM: Appetizers, Dinner, and Dessert by Sonoma County Catering Co
~ Throughout the Evening: Music by The Agave Allstars
~ 7:30 PM: Live Auction > Fund-a-Need > Raffle
~ Following the Auction: Live Music and Dancing!

Check-In Process:

Greater Giving will serve as our event platform, and we will be operating on a cashless system once again this year. 

In order for you to help us streamline the check-in process, please be prepared to do the following:

1.   You and your guests need to check-in at the registration table upon arrival. 

2.   Each guest or couple will be asked to provide a credit card, email address and phone number to receive a paddle. Note that we will only accept credit card payments.

3.   All transactions, including bar charges, will be billed to your assigned paddle.

4.  Each guest or couple will be assigned to a table; your table number will be provided upon arrival.

Check-out Process:

When you are ready to depart, return to the registration table with your paddle. A staff member will collect your raffle and live auction items for you.  If you are not picking up a live item or raffle prize, simply return your paddle to a volunteer to complete your departure. 

We will be operating paperless, and an itemized receipt will be emailed to you after the event.

We thank you for your patience, as it might take a few minutes to collect all of your items if you come during peak checkout time.

Fund a Need:

California Vegetation Treatment Plan: 

Wildfire danger in our area is extreme—and getting worse. We all want to clear brush, reduce fuels, and protect our homes. However, red tape for approving large-scale fuel reduction projects slows everything down.

A California Vegetation Treatment Plan, known as a CalVTP, changes that. It’s a 10-year plan that streamlines environmental review by not having to approve each project every time. A CalVTP saves time and money—and helps get wildfire prevention work done faster.

The Mayacamas Volunteer Fire Foundation (MVFF) has identified a CalVTP as the most important project for our Cavedale to Trinity service area. But a CalVTP isn’t free—it will take dozens of volunteer and expert hours and cost up to $100,000. The MVFF is willing to put in the time and some of the funds, but needs your help to close the gap.

Please raise your paddle to donate to the CalVTP—and help better protect your community over the next decade.

Weather & Dress: 

The weather for Saturday evening is expected to be in the mid to high 70’s.  Please plan to bring a light jacket or wrap for after dark. We invite you to enjoy the evening in your favorite party attire.  Women are recommended to wear flats vs heels due to the nature of the terrain.

The entrance to the event is 103 Trinity Road, Glen Ellen, CA 95442. It will be very well marked. Follow the signs to the event.

Please drive SLOWLY down the road so as not to disturb the neighbors. 

As a friendly reminder, this event supports the Mayacamas Volunteer Fire Foundation. Please refrain from bringing outside alcohol. Our bar will be well-stocked with a variety of beer and wine options, and all proceeds will directly benefit the MVFF.
