About Us

About MVFF

We are the organization chartered to keep our community safe, informed and
connected. The Mayacamas Volunteer Fire Foundation (MVFF) is focused on
community engagement and fundraising. Through our Fire Safe Council we secure
grants to reduce fuel load/fire danger and educate our community on fire safety
resources. MVFF was founded in 1980 as the Mayacamas Volunteer Fire Department
(MVFD). The volunteer firefighters are the first responders for emergencies in an
especially challenging area just to the east of Sonoma Valley. Our name evolved in
2021 to represent the role we play in partnership with the Sonoma Valley Fire District.

Our Stations

We have two fire stations:
Station 8 is located at the intersection of Trinity and Cavedale Roads.
Station 9 is located on Cavedale road, 2 miles from station 8.

Our Firefighters

We currently have 12 volunteer firefighters that are fully trained to state firefighting
standards. We have 4 fire engines. We are always looking for people interested in
becoming volunteer firefighters.
